For 3 months I did nothing but travel through California in a pair of Ahnu hiking boots. Long story short - I had pushed too hard for too long and I needed to treat my burnout. My plan was simple - no plans! I allowed myself to slow down and to marvel at things:

like how the moss on the trees can indicate how fresh the air is, or the quietness of the desert, or how people used to navigate with stars. It’s all so basic - almost banal, but what I realized was that I didn’t need to disconnect from the world - I needed to connect with it.
